Since Mel already guessed the answer I thought I should post a photo of what this project should look like when it is completed. It isn't the best as I went hunting for one online and was unable to find one so here is the best I could do.
As Mel stated this is a Lavendar and Lace pattern and the one I have was published/printed in 1990.
