I guess we didn't have it so bad...

I'm not whining anymore about the snow, this was back in 2005 but my friend reminded me in an email today that the snow really isn't that bad. If you want to see the orginal email she sent me here is the link :
But here is a small sampling....and her email to me was titled:
WHERE'S MY ICE SCRAPPER!
I'm not gonna say one more word about the snow, I live in Canada and I LOVE THE SNOW! LOL

Snowing and stitching...

Well, it is snowing here....again and more. Today it was piled so high in the driveway all you could see of my car was the roof! Needless to say I rode in with DH today in his BIG 4-wheel drive truck. It is suppose to snow all day so I'm happy to ride home with him as well!

I promise progress pictures soon, I'm working on my wolves on black as well as the "blessed are children of quilters" for my grandmother. I also started a new project that I have been working on during my bus rides to and from work each day. This one will end up being a birth announcement for our friends, it is a celtic knot which I plan to add name, date and weight to. It was a freebie from Ink Circles and the funny thing is that it is for the couple I did the Love Knot for in the previous post!
This weekend my DH is working nights and my parents are taking Cameron for a sleep over so I'm going to be home with Caleb - so if anyone is looking for somewhere warm to come and stitch for a time, I'll be there, if you need directions give me a quick email and let you know where I'm at! curt_reb at hotmail.com
Until next time...May your needles stay sharp, threads untangled and fingers warm! Happy stitching....

Muffins A La Canada

This morning I turned my oven on, mixed up a batch of Morning Glory Muffins and when I went to put them in to bake, I realised I have either blown an oven fuse (and have no replacements currently at the house) or my element has gone kabluey. Either way, the oven was not willing to heat up and I was faced with a situation. A batch of muffins ready to bake with no oven. Normally I would just load the muffins and kids in the car and head next door but the temperature today is nothing other than just plain cold....

that is about -18 degrees C or -3 degrees F! Not including the windchill which is high today as well. Too cold to take the baby out for a batch of muffins. So I did the only other thing I could think of...I warmed up the barbeque!
And the muffins didn't turn out half bad! They took a little longer than they would have in the oven but edible all the same!
