November is NaBloPoMo

My friend Bonnie posted this earlier today and I decided "why not."  I've had lots of tragedy in 2013 but there has been some wonderful things and wonderful things to come, surely I can find something to write about for the next 30 days....  I've signed up, I'm 120 on the list!  WOW!  I just came back here (Nov 4th) and went to look at the list - it is now over 1000 blogs! nablopomo-soup-add-your-november-2013-posts

For the start, I'll just leave you with a couple of photos from our Halloween last night, I had two zombie football players, their coach and the coach's girlfriend :-)

Happy Belated Halloween!

My two boys both decided that they "needed" to be zombies...which is alright in my books!  Easy peasy costumes...clothes from their closets and a little creative hand on the makeup and we were ready to roll.

We spent a great evening with friends from our local village, wandering around while the kids had a blast running from house to house.  Both ended up with a bag full of "junk", which I plan on raiding on a regular basis until it is all gone.

Just a quick note as well for anyone in my general area, we are hosting a Pampered Chef party tonight from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the local hall Camden East Playground Fundraiser  and if you are not in the area and would still like to support our efforts to add more to the local playground for the kids, you can shop online at Pampered Chef Online enter the shop online function and then type Camden in the organization to find us.

Photos, lots of photos!

Well, the last few times I've posted I've told you about all these wonderful photos I had...so this post will be photo intensive. An excited mom, Caleb and Cameron on the first day of school

A couple from my trip to Toronto a few weeks back - one of Jennifer Aikman-Smith of Dragon Dreams and another of a dear friend trying to get the "the perfect angle"...

And last but not least, my current project! This is the chart I won from Whispered By the Wind...Etude using 4130 DMC on flax linen.....

I'm alive

This will end up being short and sweet, I have no pictures and I have not been stitching. But I am here, swamped at work and just realising that I have A LOT happening between now and the end of the year. I've been visiting all my online friends and leaving comments where I can, I hope to have things sorted and slowed down shortly, if not, then I may not be above water again until the new year! Stay tuned, I have a couple new events happening that will require stitching but I'm not allowed to spill the beans yet (and neither one has anything to do with me, so don't be thinking it!).

I've been saying that I would come back later and add in photos to posts but it never happens, so today will be photos that I want to share, either from past posts or ones I may develop more in the future.

The first one is HALLOWEEN! Here are the "players" from left to right. MacKenzie, Connor, Abby (in infant seat), Caleb, Lisa and Cameron. Lisa is my sitter when I'm working and the three kids are hers. Abby is 6 weeks younger than Caleb. Don't you love my little cheeky monkey and of course, Spiderman captures my heart every day.

This next one isn't very flattering of me (but makes me realise how much weight I really need to get off) and my oldest, dearest friend Tracy. She was married on the 14th of October and we have been friends our whole lives...the one next to it is the groom (Colin) and myself and I have the EXACT same one of Tracy kissing my husband on our wedding day so this one was done as a joke. Congratulations again to the both of you, we love you.

And last but not least, my Mother and Father-In-Law celebrated 40 years of marriage on the 29th of October and they wanted a quiet celebration with just the immediate family. Other than my husband, myself and our two boys, from left to right are: my sister-in-law Tina, brother-in-law Norman, nephew Andrew, FIL Earl, & MIL Beverly (holding Caleb). The only other person there that we didn't seem to get a picture of was our niece Emma.

CONGRATULATIONS ON 40 YEARS TOGETHER!

Hopefully I can start adding more in again but the boys are keeping me busy so I won't be able to promise anything.
